Sunday Schedule
Our winter schedule, which runs from mid-September through mid-June, has a worship service followed by a Sunday School hour. Dress is informal. Child care is provided during worship and Sunday School. If it's snowing, we will hold worship services. Sunday school will be held, though classes may be combined if some teachers can't come.
Child Care
Child care is provided for infants and children up to 4 years old, all morning on Sunday beginning ten minutes before the worship service.
Children's Church
After children in grades K-3 participate in the first part of congregational worship, they are dismissed to enjoy activities appropriate for their age. Children's church is a time of worship, instruction and fellowship. This year we will focus on reviewing basic truths of the Christian faith and teaching children to be focused and diligent in praying both praise and petition to God as Jesus modeled in the Lord's prayer. We will also be learning some children's worship songs and enjoying a snack and fellowship together. Children's Church is offered most Sundays during the year.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes are offered during our winter schedule at 10:40 am, after the worship service.
We provide classes for children from age 2 through 12th grade. Classrooms are in the basement of the church; the rooms are labeled to help you easily find the room for your child's age group or grade. Classes from preschool through grade 5 are taught in classrooms with a single age or grade. Grades 6 through 12 are part of our D.6 Ministry and usually have 2 or 3 grades combined in a class.
Adult Bible Fellowships
For college age and up, we have Adult Bible Fellowships during our winter schedule. ABFs are groups of people committed to know and apply the Bible together in a caring fellowship that brings about pastoral care, discipleship, and outreach. An ABF is more than a Sunday School class; it's like a mini-congregation. It's a place where everyone is made to feel welcome and the relationships are as important as the learning.
Our Chinese Fellowship, Faith-Hope-Love also meets during the ABF hour each week.
Communion
We celebrate the Lord's supper on the first Sunday of each month. All who profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are invited to participate.
Baptism
Baptisms are done on the third Sunday of each month. If you would like to be baptized, please contact the church office to speak with a pastor.
Offering
We do not pass a plate for our regular offerings. The ministry of Valley Bible Church is supported by the faithful giving of the congregation. There are two boxes located in the foyer by the sanctuary doors for your offering to the Lord.
